Job Description | Manager, Events & Sponsorship Location: Vancouver Granville Office, hybrid Reporting to: Associate Director, Events & Sponsorship Job status: Permanent full-time 1.0 FTE (75 hours bi-weekly) Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 We want our staff to “thrive” not just survive, so Canuck Place is committed to living our values of care exceeding not just minimum wage but living wage in B.C. THE ROLE The Manager, Events & Sponsorship is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Canuck Place’s signature event fundraising initiatives including sponsorship, auction, and tickets sales. A significant part of this role is managing and executing the signature event sponsorship strategy, from package design, solicitation, and negotiation to benefit activation and stewardship. The manager also collaborates closely with gala committees, provides direction and mentorship to two direct reports, manages donor stewardship events, and supports Canuck for Kids Fund initiatives. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Post-secondary degree or diploma in event planning, marketing, or communications. A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in event management, particularly in planning and executing fundraising events; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
