What We Offer We offer a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. The Opportunity The Donor Relations Team designs and delivers thoughtful experiences that help donors feel appreciated, recognized, and deeply connected to the difference they make. A strong donor relations program expresses gratitude, honours donor intent, and demonstrates accountability in ways tailored to each donor segment. We collaborate with colleagues across the Foundation to move donors seamlessly from cultivation to stewardship and back to joyful engagement. By being both proactive and responsive, we create authentic touchpoints that strengthen donor relationships and help elevate health care in Richmond. With a new acute care tower approaching groundbreaking, this is an exciting time to join the team. The work we do today will help donors feel the joy and impact of their generosity as this transformational project comes to life. Reporting to the Chief Donor Experience Officer, the Donor Relations Officer works closely with members of the Donor Relations team and colleagues across Philanthropy and Marketing & Communications. In this role, the Officer manages a donor segment portfolio and leads personalized stewardship plans, creating warm and thoughtful recognition and engagement experiences that reflect the Foundation’s joyful brand. They bring creativity, clarity, and initiative to steward donors at every stage of their giving journey, ensuring each interaction feels meaningful and aligned with donor intent. This is a hands-on, highly relational position suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, excellent judgement, and genuine enthusiasm for helping donors feel connected to the impact of their generosity. Key Areas of Responsibility Stewardship & Donor Portfolio Support Partner with Philanthropy colleagues to lead stewardship, recognition, and joyful engagement for assigned donor segments. Donor Recognition, Naming & Creative Stewardship Support the Foundation’s naming and recognition program, including applications, approvals, and coordination of signage, plaques, and donor wall updates. Donor Events, Cultivation Activities & Tours Plan and execute donor cultivation and recognition events such as tours, milestone celebrations, and intimate gatherings. Internal & External Relationships Build warm, trusting relationships with donors, clinical partners, volunteers, and vendors.
