Hello all!My name is Eva Pang, and I’m happy to be serving as the VP, IDEA for AFP Greater Vancouver.
Although I only joined AFP in the summer of 2024, I’ve already met so many engaged and passionate AFP members in my short time.
As a disabled woman of colour, I am passionate about accessibility, equity and inclusion. In my role as VP IDEA, I hope to help others in our fundraising community increase their awareness of how they can incorporate these values into their work and lives.
Some simple steps you can take include taking the time to see the world around you. Be an ally to others to help amplify their voice. It’s important that everyone finds their own small way to make their community and our profession a safer and more inclusive place.
July is Disability Pride Month, with 27% of the Canadian population identifying as having a disability; that’s over a quarter of our population. I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about Disability Pride Month and what you can do to help create a more inclusive community.
If you’d like to learn more about IDEA, check out the AFP Greater Vancouver IDEA Resource Hub. The IDEA Committee looks forward to providing you with more resources to learn and grow in the near future.

Through donor support, Coast brings recovery to life — funding housing, peer support, employment opportunities, and innovative therapies that bridge the gap between hospital care and everyday living. Their approach is rooted in dignity and possibility, creating pathways for people to find stability, connection, and purpose — because recovery isn’t just about care, it’s about belonging.
